Options to integrate your BlackBerry into your Business

In a previous post I explained 5 Reasons your employees need a Blackberry!. This time I will give you some ways to accomplish this.

Depending on your environment I would recommend you use BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). Now to use a BES server you will need to have an email server such as MS Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino, or Novell GroupWise. If you do not have an email server and you just have a POP/IMAP account you cannot use BES. You have other options that will be discussed below.

The reason I recommend BES is because the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution provides push-based access to email; calendar, contacts, tasks and notes; instant messaging; web-based applications and services and enterprise applications. IT fully integrates the functionality of your email server to your BlackBerry.

Now if you don't need your calendar, tasks, ect or have a POP/IMAP email account you can use BlackBerry Internet Service, you can integrate your BlackBerry device with up to 10 supported email accounts including Microsoft Outlook®, Lotus Notes® and other popular supported email.

If you would like to discuss how to integrate you BlackBerry's or smart phones into you business environment feel free to contact me for a FREE consultation.
